Dr. Achim-R. Börner has been infected with the "lizard-virus" some 60+ years ago and has been fascinated by these animals ever since. He has built a good library and has conducted research in museums and in the field on lizard taxonomy and biology. Currently, he is active in lizard protection projects aiming at the protection and the recreation of their habitats. The research has resulted in a number of scienitifc publications.
